Bruce E. Deacon, Of Counsel, earned his Juris Doctor from Syracuse University College of Law, cum laude, and his LL.M. in taxation from the University of Denver. He earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Virginia. Prior to law school, Mr. Deacon was on active duty with the U.S. Navy.

Mr. Deacon has practiced law since 1976. His practice emphasizes real estate matters as well as probate and estate planning, including related tax matters. His real estate practice includes commercial development and leasing such as shopping centers, as well as the sale and acquisition of unimproved properties for residential development. He has represented developers, lenders, and investors. Areas in which he has assisted clients in real estate matters includes contracting for sale and purchases of real property, title and survey examination and title insurance, easements, utility agreements, construction agreements, financing agreements, tax increment financing, retail and office leasing, and common interest communities covenants. In the estates field, he handles will, trust and probate matters, as well as estate and gift tax issues, including preparation of Federal estate tax returns.
